Cat Poop Based Culture

The article about the brain controlling protazoan got me thinking about what Jeff might have been up to. It is obviously a common goal with Jeff to try to comprehend our culture, and the last couple of days really are no different.

It’s a little known fact that Jeff used to be a cat wrangler at the White House. He lost that job when he questioned secret service agents on why GW wanted to fill the Presidential home with feral cats whenever dignitaries were visiting. He was given some explanation about making the place more like home for the guests and then handed a pink slip the next day. The first rule of public sevice is you do not ask questions.

Jeff later discovered that the alley cats he had gathered up were later farmed out to large corporations to “boost morale” and them given to top employees to take home to their families as a reward for a job well done. This has likely been the cause of such odd phrases like, “it’s not a bug, it’s a feature.” And let’s not forget all of those folks that play with low explosives and film themselves doing it, probably not folks in their right frame of mind.

Jim Henson also had an affinity for cats, well, animals in general, really. In the early days he was doing just fine, but later in life he got to be a little bit off. Jeff remembers hanging out with Jim and worrying about him when the mount of cat hair on his clothes grew to epic proportions. It was all down hill from there. Next thing you know Jim has a lung infection and doesn’t seem to think it’s a problem. Damn cats.

Jeff has told me that domestic cat ownership is on the rise, and that is why he keeps a close watch on the behavior of the American people. Armageddon may well be on it’s way, but it has more to do with cats than the middle east. Trust me.

Tune in tomorrow as Catwatch 06 continues.
