I think Jeff used to own Pinky the cat. He had a cat just like him that he used to carry with him on his work for the CIA as an “organic weapon”. Jeff used to say that his cat was more effective at subduing opponents than
a can of pepper spray. If Pinky was in a good mood then his target would gurgle over the cute little kitty, and if he wasn’t then they would end up gurgling under the cute little kitty.

For a brief period of time Jeff did live in a department store with five other people. Only, they called it work instead of reality TV. If you are much more discreet about that kind of thing you can successfully avoid going home for weeks at a time, and thus avoid the problem of showing up to work late. But Jeff has told me that it isn’t a life for everyone. His wife certainly didn’t enjoy it, and maybe that’s why she keeps him in the cage on weekends now.

Jeff is also interested in the behavior of those in other cultures. We have often discussed why it is that some Japanese people are quite difficult to understand when they speak English. I think Jeff may have found the answer yesterday. And the whole concept of ritual suicide is a little disturbing to me. I think the image on this page makes a little more sense to
my Western mind.

Jeff was perhaps mistaken in looking for the normal when he found the Robin Williams clip yesterday. While Williams is certainly insightful, I don’t think that “normal” is ever a word that should be associated with him.

Come back tomorrow when Jeff goes out looking for that perfect example of the American Dream in action in the high risk world of circus clowns.
