Even for me, this will sound weird, but I think octopi are fascinating

There have been many studies that have suggested that squids, octopi, and other cephalopods actually use their ability to change color and texture not only for camoflauge but also to communicate with one another.

BELLY BUTTON BLUES
by Gregory K.

My belly center’s really bare:
My belly button isn’t there!
I got no innie, got no outie.
Every day it makes me pouty.

I wouldn’t mind a belly snap,
A zipper, hook, or belly flap.
Still, most of all, I’d like a button,
But sad to say, friend, I got nuttin’.

Water and Bytes

Jeff has picked up a bit of an obsession with water as of late. Two days ago he had a picture of two folks about to get hit by a tide and now his favorite song is about the flood in Tupelo. I’m not sure what this portends. I just hope it isn’t a prelude to anymore of those bedwetting incidents.

Jeff posted the commercial for high speed internet to forward his own fifteen minutes of fame. The fellow on the computer screen is actually Jeff. At least, that’s what he says. Although he is a little ambiguous as to whether he is refering to the fellow in the poster or the guy on the couch. Make-up can do truly marvelous things, ’cause I don’t think he looks like either of them, but why would he lie about that?

I thought my podcast was entertaining and informative. Jeff thought it could be better. I’d be bitter about that if only he had been wrong. I also know that it took him a whole lot longer to modify my performance than it did for me to create it, and that has a nice glow to it.

I appreciate Jeff’s PSA about the police. I think it is probably the best practice to just go along with any armed man that happens to think he is clever. When the traffic cop starts cracking jokes your best bet is to smile and nod and just get the hell out of there as soon as possible.

Tune in tomorrow when Jeff contemplates his navel and the origins of the naval orange.

It is more spoken word than singing, but it works.

Our first podcast, revisited

We’ve taken some liberties with our first podcast (hey, it’s ours - we can take all the liberties we want with it!). Below is the same podcast, new and improved, now filled with visual incongruities!!
