Jokes?
While the quotes from Dangerfield and Wright may be jokes, the rest of those things are true stories.
Jeff was the monk in the monastary that only would complain. It was part of his training program for “corporate slave” to take a vow of silence. And Jeff’s life in the cubicle has not been all that different from his life in the cell. Except the floors are carpeted now.
I remember that time that Jeff and I got mugged and he decided that was an opportune time to pay me back the money that he owed me from the “Gentlemen’s” Club we had just left. And I can tell you it was a fair amount. I imagine those twenty-one years in a monastary only made the spectacle that much more interesting. And we hadn’t even made it past the doorman before he was borrowing twenties off of me.
And I must say, that hooker had a good line, but she couldn’t hold a paintbrush to save her life. Jeff’s house is still only half painted. He’s been trying to find that same lady for some time, but no luck. He thought he saw her a couple weeks ago, but that lady took off running as soon as she saw us. That couldn’t have been her.
