Loss of Joy and Self Recognition
I think that Jeff may have answered his own question yesterday. Why do we lose a manic sense of joy? Well, I think it’s exactly what the Thomas Mann quote is all about. When we recognise what we are how can we still be that full of joy? Especially after a couple of dolphin filets. If they only weren’t so tasty.
