Magic and Mystery

I really love magic. I’m not particularly good at it, but it amuses me to no end. In fact, one of the reasons that I started eating fire was due to the fact that I wasn’t very good at magic. You see, the main thing you need to do to eat fire is to put up with burning yourself a lot. The “trick” to fire eating is that it hurts and you just tolerate it. That and you don’t breath in while you have a torch in your mouth, because doing so will kill you. No, that’s not a joke.

On Everything Interesting (And More) there are a number of snazzy magic tutorials for those that don’t want to set themselves on fire or possibly die while impressing their friends.

As an amateur magician I must warn you that the site will tell you how these tricks are done. If you like magic, never learn the trick; it will just make you mad.

Tune in later this week when we’ll have more magic, and probably some fire.

I love science fair fodder…

…and this one definitely qualifies.

The next time you see a microwave at a yard sale, pick it up.
