Less Broken, More Annoyed

Well, it looks like I lied about posting more later in the day yesterday. I spent the remains of the day either flat on my back or grading papers. I hate grading papers. I like teaching, but I really hate to grade papers.

On a different note I think I came up with a little something for this week that Jeff will get behind quite exuberently. Wordplay.

The other day I was in my Martial Arts class (that’s why Jeff will occassionally poke fun at Martial Artists) when one of my fellow students was trying to say something about Girl Scout Cookies and instead said Squirrel Gout cookies. That really struck me as funny, but that’s the kind of nonsense that amuses me to no end.

Squirrel Gout is a Spoonerism. So I initially went out and had a looksee for images of squirrel gout. There aren’t any. But I did find it on a list of other Spoonerisms and that was just as good.

I warn you that this week you are likely to encounter many a “pune, or play on words” on the site. And you can probably count on a number of Terry Pratchett quotes showing up, and that’s always fun.

Tune in and bring your fork.
