Well, I’m a day late on that discussion of my upcoming guerilla art projects for the summer. And to be honest, I’m probably going to keep quiet about most of them. It’s definitely more fun that way. But I can talk about the general idea.
Mainly, I like to leave things laying around. I am almost certainly going to resurrect my buttonfaces for my forthcoming trip to Germany. If you have any suggestions for abstracted faces I would like to here them. Just post in the comments or send me an email.
I’m also thinking of some chapbooks of questionably finished short fiction. Each of them would have a hand printed cover and I would leave them around the college campus. If you’d like to help with that little project it would be nice to have them at a bunch of campuses across the country. Again, let me know via email. But that project won’t be under way until sometime later this summer. It still has a little time left in the oven before it is fully formed and ready to be let out of its cage.
And then, of course, is the performance art that may or may not take place. I’m always a little wary of performing in public spaces. People make me nervous and I’m always wondering just what I would say to a cop that asked me just what I was planning to do with that can of frozen shaving cream. But I’ll let you know if anything exciting is going to happen, and we’ll try to have video.
Tune in tomorrow for how much fun you can have with leftover tuna and an anvil.
