My wife thought my joke from yesterday wasn’t funny. Mainly because she didn’t get it. My martial arts instructors were in the same boat. So, perhaps I was a little too subtle. If you didn’t think it was funny, or just didn’t get it, don’t worry you’re not alone. And, no, I will not explain it, that would make it even less funny, trust me.
Looking at yesterday’s “Thought for the Day” I notice that Jeff credited “ibid” for a quote. You know that Ibid chap used to get around quite a bit. If you look at old academic journals you would see his name all over the place. And I don’t think there was a single textbook prior to the 70s that didn’t give him a credit somewhere. He truly defies the notion that one man can not be an expert in everything.
As a random side note. If you are in Hamburg, go to a train station and wait for any train to stop. Do you hear the Nazghul? And do they ride all over Europe, or just Hamburg?
Tune in tomorrow for ruminations about a cow, or maybe a bear. We’ll see what kind of mood I’m in.
