Germany, a Thoughtful Country

For those of you that didn’t know the reason I was in Germany was for the wedding of a friend. While cruising around the country being incredibly lost, I managed to come across the following street sign.
Hamburg Wedding

I found that mighty polite of them to put up a sign in Berlin to let folks know that my friend was getting married about 300 km away. It made it so much easier to find the appropriate town. Granted, once we got there it was a pain to find exactly where in Hamburg we needed to go, ’cause Hamburg is a pretty sizeable place. But I thought the sentiment was nice.

I later realized the “Wedding” is the name of a town, and the sign had absolutely nothing to do with why I was in the country, but it was a fun image anyway. Sometimes ignorance truly is bliss.

Tune in tomorrow for a few Pratchett-isms, and more photos from the dark continent of Europe.
