A Note From the Tech Deprived

I haven’t really watched TV in over 8 years. I watch a lot of movies, and some tv shows on dvd, but I don’t really do the broadcast thing anymore. It was a strange shift at first, but you come to realize most shows are crap once you stop being inundated with them on a regular basis.

These last few weeks without internet have been a little like the first few weeks sans television. The biggest difference is that I actually miss the internet. I like it when I wonder about some actor and can find out every movie he’s ever been in on IMDB. I like all of the stuff that I read on Warren Ellis’ blog. I like the fact that I choose my media when and where I want it. Maybe that’s why I don’t like TV, I’m on someone else’s timetable, and they think I’m an idiot with lots of time to kill.

But I miss the internet. Soon it will come back to my home.

But I have an art show to go to, and more cycling to do. See you all tomorrow.

By the way, send us some questions and we might try out that “ask a trucker” segment. If we don’t get anything, we’ll just make up some problems and blame them on you anyway. Stay tuned.
