Who says protesting doesn’t get you anywhere?
A couple arrested at a rally after refusing to cover T-shirts that bore anti-President Bush slogans settled their lawsuit against the federal government for $80,000, the American Civil Liberties Union announced Thursday.
The ACLU said in a statement that a presidential advance manual makes it clear that the government tries to exclude dissenters from the president’s appearances. “As a last resort,” the manual says, “security should remove the demonstrators from the event.”

If in other lands the press and books and literature of all kinds are censored, we must redouble our efforts here to keep them free. If in other lands the eternal truths of the past are threatened by intolerance we must provide a safe place for their perpetuation.

Missing Thought for the Days
I realized I apparently haven’t been thinking much for the past few days - you’d think that after doing this for over a year it would have become habit, but I have too many habits as it is, can’t justify adding another one to the collection currently.
Anyway, to make up for my lack of thought I’ll be posted a couple a day (still only the good ones) to provide some new information for rumination.
