Thought for the day ~ Moby

It just seem like musicians want to sell a few records and put out a perfume line, and I think it’s so sad that there are so many musicians who don’t want to change the world… Music has been so much more.

Pity it’s Really a Big Ad

If you spend much time on Instructables, you’ve probably seen the Waitless.org snippets. I know that waitless is really just an ad campaign for Sprint, but I really like some of their suggestions. My personal favorite is the Turbo Parking one, although I doubt that is a wise thing to try at home.

In other news the Reuters photo editor was having a little fun with one of their Oddly Enough News stories. And I hope that link stays active for a little while. The photo really ads a new dimension to the piece at hand. I won’t say anything about it right now, because that might spoil the surprise. But, seriously, strange choice of an image.

I have more grading on the schedule today, so I’m not feeling particularly funny. The initial shock of Middle School parents and their drug deals wears off after the first eight or nine papers, and then it just gets sad. Sometimes I worry that I might get a little jaded at my job. As a for instance, last year we nearly had an execution at the prison I work at. The days surrounding an execution the prison is on lockdown, so no classes. The first thing that came to my mind was, “That really messes up my schedule.” Luckily, the second thing was, “Oh crap, they’re gonna kill some guy.” But it was the second. And that can’t be good.

So, stay tuned, I’m sure the world will distort itself into something funny, yet today. And remember, if you see fish in the sky, you’re probably underwater.
