I just put up an auction for ad space on the Pumpkin with a bit of a twist. Winning bidder not only gets a link from our site, but also a special message in a video on the site, and my hurting myself for your pleasure.
For the last year and a bit I’ve been a Student at Kuk Sool Won of Muncie. It’s ran by a great family on a shoestring budget. If you’ve ever been involved in Martial Arts you know that going to tournaments and seminars and testing and all of that stuff can get a little expensive. In fact, we had to cancel our trip to this years tournament in Houston, the current world headquarters of Kuk Sool Won, due to lack of funds. And that’s no good. Tournaments and Seminars are where young martial artists make new friends and explore different methods of teaching and learning. And where they get to kick new people around.
A portion of the proceeds from the auctin will go to Kuk Sool Won of Muncie for the St. Louis Tournament in the spring. I don’t mention that in the ebay auction, because every time I did it would tell me that I had to prove I was giving money to a non-profit, which I’m not.
Anyway, check out the auction, bid, come back in a week or two and watch me hurt myself. Unless, of course, those bids are low. I can go through three of four boards, no sweat. I am just that awesome. But if it goes higher, we might run into some excitement.
