Wizard World was quite a hoot. I’m sad that I didn’t get to see as much of it as I would have liked, but those are the breaks. I’ll talk a little more about why I didn’t stick around as much as I would have liked tomorrow, but for now here’s a couple of pics from the show.
The days I was there the cosplayers weren’t out in full force, so only the die hard geeks and those with cool costumes were walking about, but there were a few that caught my eye.
This Spider-Man was actually fairly well done, but that just goes to show why no one in the right mind would “fight crime” in this outfit. Can you imagine this guy trying to be witty and telling a bank robber to drop his loot? And does your imagination include the gunshot right afterward? I know mine does.

The 501st Legion were back again this year. I don’t think these guys count as cosplayers. Their costumes are handmade by some skilled individuals. The Legion actually has published standards for their costumes and the members stick to them as much as humanly possible. Really, they’re more like re-enactors of a war that never happened. They’re quite the strange crowd, but they work out well as accidental crowd control. When a Storm Trooper tells you to get in line you bloody well do it.

Tune in tomorrow for some venom against Chicago and their streets of slowness.
